2003/2004 EVENTS

In April 2003, an active group got together to start generating ideas for a project, soon to be named, My Arabic Story. Funding was provided by "Jeunesses Voluntaires", a Québec Government initiative to support cultural and artistic activities. Two events we planned for the remaining of the year, extensive story searches, and bi-weekly meetings of the group at our regular "Tim Horton's Cafe" in downtown Montréal. We collaborated extensively with "Le Petit Théâtre de l'absolu" and enjoyed Hermine's directing talents in turning one of our much loved stories into a puppet show. We kicked off the events for 2004 and gained much more needed popularity with the Montréal Children Library, Head and Hands Organization, Café Esperanza and spiced it withour participation at The International Vancouver Storytelling festival. Here is a list of our shows!
